Carpenter Ants

Problem:

Carpenter ants are usually ¼ to ½” long and appear black in color. Carpenter ants are often seen in the kitchen or anywhere there is moist wood, such as windows and doors, wood siding close to the ground, etc. The damage caused by carpenter ants is frequently hidden within the walls.

Control:

In the past, homeowners tried to eliminate carpenter ants by dusting around high traffic areas. Because carpenters ants are a persistent problem you have to spray and dust repeatedly, inside and often outside the home.
